Fr Leszek (pronounced Leshek) Wisniewski, was born in London of Polish parents. He studied for the priesthood in Paris and London. 

After ordination in 1980, he worked in Northampton Cathedral and then in Brighton for the Polish community. 

In 1986, Fr Wisniewski left the UK to work abroad. Firstly for the Vicariate Apostolic of Arabia in the Gulf and later in Argentina, Malaysia and, most recently, in South Africa. In between, he spent two years in Aylesbury based at St. Joseph’s and also taught at St. Edward’s School. 

He returned to England in April of 2004 and was appointed to The Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Haddenham.
