Habiba Djebbari

I am currently Associate Professor in Aix-Marseille School of Economics (AMSE) at Aix-Marseille University (France). I am a Fellow of the Econometrics Society since 2020. I am also Research fellow at IZA (Institute for the Study of Labor) since 2015. I received my doctoral degree in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Prior to joining Aix Marseille University, I was an associate professor in the Department of Economics at Laval University (Quebec, Canada). My research interests include development economics, social networks, education, health and poverty. I am an applied econometrician. My publication record includes Annual Review of Economics (2020), Economic Development and Cultural Change (2020), Journal of Econometrics (2008, 2009), Journal of Applied Econometrics (2012) and Lancet Global Health (2015).

I was also elected director of the development economics and growth division at AMSE and president of the Econometrics Society Africa Region Standing Committee in 2018.
