Habiba Djebbari

I am currently Full Professor in Aix-Marseille School of Economics (AMSE) at Aix-Marseille University (France). I am a Fellow of the Econometrics Society since 2020. I am also Research fellow at IZA (Institute for the Study of Labor) since 2015. I received my doctoral degree in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park. 

My research interests include development economics, social networks, education, health  and poverty. Prior to joining Aix Marseille University, I was an associate professor in the Department of Economics at Laval University (Quebec, Canada). My publication record includes World Development (2025), Annual Review of Economics (2020), Economic Development and Cultural Change (2020), Journal of Econometrics (2008, 2009), Journal of Applied Econometrics (2012) and Lancet Global Health (2015).
