Hello, welcome! My name is Burak Guzeturk. I am an Assistant Physicist in the X-ray Science Division at Argonne National Laboratory. Before joining Argonne, I was a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Materials Science and Engineering Department at Stanford University and SLAC National Laboratory. I obtained my PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University working at the National Nanotechnology Center of Turkey.
My research strives to discover functionalities of emerging materials used in optoelectronics, quantum and solar energy technologies. Particularly, I am interested in understanding and controlling transport and transfer of energy and information by manipulating excited state responses in materials at fast and small scales. For this, I develop ultrafast X-ray and optical imaging approaches to visualize excited state structural, electronic and chemical processes to engineer materials and their functional properties.
Please check out more on my research or contact me at burakg at anl.gov.
