H. TFK Noted Events:
1. 30 October 2023: SVC Gunny Knight and TFK Chairperson, Erica Brennan held a
meeting with the DVSD school district Asst. Superintendent, Jayson Pope to further
promote the TFK program within the school district.
2. 2 December 2023: The Pike County Sheriff, Kerry Welsh conducted the “Stuff the
Cruiser” toy collection drive to support the TFK program.
3. 10 December 2023: The owners of one stop computers donated over $2000 worth of
toys to the TFK collection drive.
4. 11 December 2023: DVSD members - Jayson Pope, Jessica Hubal and Joanne
Anderson accepted our invitation to observe and participate in the TFK distribution.

c. 23 May 2023: MCL-Det. 909 member Peter Polynj was appointed as a detachment
trustee by Commandant Brink.
d. 20 September 2023: Pike County Commissioners had a dedication ceremony for Marine
Richard Caridi.
e. 22 October 2023: MCL-Det. 909 members attended the celebration of life for Richard
Caridi.
f. 24 October 2023: MCL-Det. 909 members - Erica Brennan and Michelle Daly were
appointed as detachment trustees by Commandant Gray Brink.
g. 24 October 2023: Jesiah Schrader and Karen Olson of the Pike County Veterans Office
were guest speakers at the detachments monthly meeting.
h. 12 November 2023: MCL-Det. 909 held its birthday dinner in celebration of the 248th
birthday of our beloved Corps with 89 members and guests in attendance.
