In Nicaragua in 1970, the FSLN reduced their attacks to a minimum and started focusing on strengthening the organization. During this time, Carlos y Luis Enrique Mejia Godoy, musicians, created recordings and messages to inspire and educate the people.They traveled the world recording and distributing these important messages.

In the United States, the Black Panther Party for Self Defense were doing the same thing that the FSLN were doing: Focusing on building the power of their organization.The Black Panther Party felt that it would benefit them to partner with the FSLN for training and strength. This copy of Guitarra Armada, a recording crafted by Carlos y Luis Enrique Mejia Godoy for the FSLN was found in Seattle, WA among some Black Panther Party documents. The recording is in good condition, and has a single name "Leroy" written in ink on the cover. Some web searching brings a list of Seattle Black Panthers from the same time period. On the list is the name: Leroy Brown.
