Red Cross training meets the Girl Scout guidelines for first aid programs and combines lecture, interactive video demonstrations featuring emergency scenarios that are likely to occur in a variety of environments and hands-on training to teach participants lifesaving skills. Segments include:
First Aid: Participants learn to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies, such as burns, cuts and scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck and back injuries, and heat and cold emergencies.
CPR: Participants learn how to recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in adults and children and to perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR.)
AED: Participants learn how to use automatic external defibrillators

Blended Learning - Combining online training with an in-person skills session
Length: 3-4 hours of online training plus 2.5 hours in-person skills session
Note: online training must be done individually BEFORE the skills session
