Text: Shifrin, Section 1.2, 2.1 and 2.2

Concepts: Dot Product. Cauchy-Schwartz inequality. Projections of vectors. Orthogonality. Scalar- and vector-valued functions of several variables. Level sets and graphs. Open and closed sets in Rn.

Week 2:

Text: Shifrin, Section 2.2 and 2.3

Concepts: Limits, continuity, least upper bound property.
