This project deals with relative new subject in region of communication science - micro strip antennas. In our days we can see growing in use of wireless devices and whole world trying to get rid of wires, so there is also grow in use of antennas especially in printed antennas because of their convenience and affectivity from physical view and when proper designed could reach good productivity. We will deal with design of directional antenna for wireless LAN network working on 802.11 standard
If we buy today PCI wireless LAN network card it comes with non directional antenna, but we want to use this card on desktop computer, so it's possible to improve receiving signal quality and working range of wireless network, to overcome problems of low signal strength by using directional antenna. We will try to perform this by building micro strip antenna assembled from four single elements.
Development and design process of antenna will done with help of CST Microwave Studio software one of leading products for microwave research.
After building of antenna we will compare between our and original antenna.
