The next Interact Club meeting will be Tuesday, April 25 at 7:40 AM in room #138.

Prom Guest forms are available in Room 204, the counter in the main office, and on the GHS Homepage for students who plan to bring a guest to Prom who is NOT a GHS student.  All Guest forms & required photo ID copies must be submitted to Dr. Becker by Friday, April 28.  Students cannot purchase a tickets until the Guest form has been approved by Dr. Becker.  Please see Mrs. Moore as soon as possible with any questions regarding Guest forms.  

Prom Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, April 25 through Tuesday, May 2 during Enrichment in Room 204.  Due to state testing, Prom Tickets can also be purchased BEFORE school from 7:30 - 8:00 AM on those dates in Room 204.  Students must be in line by 8:00 AM to purchase tickets before school.  Cash or Money Order ONLY will be accepted.  Exact change is encouraged.  Students must have a CURRENT GHS ID to purchase Prom tickets.

Concessions will be sold in front of the library this Friday after first block.  chips and drinks $1 and everything else $1.50.

GHS Theatre will present the mystery-comedy "The Moss Trap" during second block on April 26 and 27, and at 7:00 p.m. on April 27. Teachers may sign up in the teacher's lounge.

Approximately 80 extra copies of the 2017 Yearbook were ordered and are available to purchase first come first served. Once these are purchased no more can be ordered. There is a list on the main office window and outside the yearbook room (143) of who HAS purchased a copy as of 4/19.

Students interested in being part of the 2017/18 Yearbook staff should come see Mr. Smith in room 143.

Any FFA member who wants to apply for their Greenhand or Chapter FFA Degree this year needs to stop by and pick up an application from Mr. Everett. Applications need to be turned in before May 9.

Please continue to sell Butter Braids! We need every HOSA member to contribute. See Mrs. Vincent for details. Turn is April 21. You must have the full payment on turn in. Thanks

If you have a library book please check your due date. You may return them anytime during the day. If we are closed for testing please return them between classes.

Sign-Ups for Class Tournaments will be held from 7:45-8:05 am on April 25-27 in the main gym.  Students must have a current ID with them and sign-up in person.  The events will include Basketball, Volleyball, and Tug-Of-War.  You may sign-up for two events.  Teams will be made up of approximately 10 players each and may be co-ed. 50% of the team will be by random selection (lottery style) and 50% will be selected by the student coach.  In order to participate, you must be able to arrive by 7:35 am on the day of the events.   Play will begin on May 2 and tournament champions will play the faculty team on May 12.  Varsity Boys and Girls basketball players are not eligible to participate in basketball.  

Anyone interested in trying out for the 2017-2018 cheerleading squad can pick up an information packet in the main office or see Mrs. Sexton in room 214.

An aviation scholarship is available to students who turn 16 by June 1, 2017. Please find the application on the scholarship database.  Completed applications are due to Guidance by May 8th.

Seniors planning to pursue engineering, machining, or welding are encouraged to apply for The Gene Haas Foundation Scholarship.  It can be used at a technical school or a Tenn Tech University.  The application is available on the scholarship database and is due to Guidance on April 26th.

Seniors - are you getting some type of scholarship, like from the school your are going to attend, from your church, from somewhere you applied online????  Please, please, please go an tell Mrs. Hale in the library.  She really needs to know for Senior Honors Night.
