What is Kendo?

Kendo is the Japanese "way of the sword," a traditional form of Budo aimed at self-development. The many different thoughts on the unique history and purposes of Kendo can, and have, filled books in many languages. A good starting place would be the excellent "An Introduction to Kendo" found on the All United States Kendo Federation website.

Who is your instructor?

At present, we are led by Glenn Weyler-sensei, Kendo 4th Dan of the Charlotte Kendo Club.

What is the cost?

$40 per month.

Are you a for-profit organization?

The Greensboro Kendo Club is a non-profit organization dedication to bringing Kendo to the North Carolina Triad area. What money we collect is used to cover basic expenses such as facility rentals.

Is your dojo a member of the AUSKF?

Our students are members of the All United States Kendo Federation, although for the moment our members register as members of the Charlotte Kendo Club.
