Xenia's Railroads

THE RAILROAD DISPLAY

An operating "HO" gauge model railroad located in the Brantley Carriage House depicts the city of Xenia between 1920 - 1950. See the Court House, Eavey Building, Opera House, Pennsylvania Railroad depot, round house and other buildings of the era.

Experience a ride through Xenia via a TV camera in the train engine as it moves through the tracks of the city. Also follow the "Dinky" trolley as it moves along Detroit Street.

THE CABOOSE

Following a visit to the museum, proceed South on Detroit Street (U.S. Route 68) for a visit to a restored B&O caboose, located near the Xenia Station. The vintage steel sided caboose, built by the Mager Car Company, was acquired and moved to the present site in 1998 and carefully restored by the The Greene County Historical Society's Railroad Display Committee. Open by appointment; call 937.372.4606.

THE MIAMI VALLEY DIVISION, DIVISION 3, of the NATIONAL MODEL RAILROAD ASSOCIATION

The museum provides meeting space for the monthly meeting of the local division of the National Model Railroad Association.

The National Model Railroad Association (NMRA), an organization of model railroaders, advances the worldwide scale model railroading community through education and standards as well as advocacy and fellowship.

Monthly Division Meetings:

Third Sunday each month from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

in the Carriage House.
