    Alexandria is a town in Grafton County, New Hampshire that was founded in 1782. Alexandria has an area of 43.09mi2 and an elevation of 623ft. At the 2010 census the population was 1,613. Some attractions Alexandria has are Newfound Lake (in the northeast corner), Wellington State Park (on the western shore), Welton Falls State Forest, Cardigan Mountain State Park (with Cardigan Mountain in the west), and Mowglis Mountain.
