Questioning
THE BIG IDEA: How are people and the land connected in Ontario?
You will work with a partner to compare two different community with your own community.
Each partner will make a KWL chart.
In the K section of the chart, write what you know about your topic .
In the W section of the chart, write what you wonder. Make sure your wonders are in the form of a question with a question mark at the end. Look at page 28 in the Many Gifts books - Steps for Asking Inquiry Questions. Use these steps to help you decide what you wonder about your topic.
Comparing Communities
You will need to explore
*how people use the land to meet their needs
*how use of the land and resources affect the environment
*how people live and work in these communities
*how people act as stewards of God's creation in these communities
We will save the L section for what we have learned after we have done some research.
Use this chart to help you start your wonder questions. Pick a question word from the first column and add a second word from across the top row to begin your question. Don't forget to end your question with a question mark.
