Camping Information

Location- Fort Buenaventura Park, an 88 acre park located at 2450 A Ave, Ogden, UT 84401

Elevation- 4,500 ft.

Dates- July 18, 1:00 pm to July 22, 11:30 am

Food- is not included in the event fee. We are currently in the process of determining the logistics for handling food at the reunion. Further details, including information about costs, will be communicated to you soon. Stay tuned for updates on this matter

Shipping Gear- If you would like to ship/mail your gear to the campsite, Lori Shields can receive it at her home in Salt Lake City and transport it to the campsite.  Her address is GPM c/o Lori Shields, 1445 S. 1600 E., Salt Lake City, Utah 84105.  To find out if your gear was received, you can email Lori at lshields.slc@gmail.com.

Loaner Gear- Weber State University in Ogden has a camping equipment rental program that includes 4 and 5 person tents, sleeping bags and pads.  You can learn more here:  https://www.weber.edu/outdoor/camping.html

Parking- loads of it.

Camping Sites- We will be staying at two group campsites called Traders and Trappers. Each group site has bathrooms and picnic pavilions. There is a pond, river, hiking and biking trails, and a disc golf course.

Wheel Chair Access- Facilities are wheel chair accessible.  See the Fort Buenaventura Park website for more details.

Telephone/WiFi Services- Most phone carriers, no wifi

Limited Electricity available at pavilions.

Showers- Showers are available for a $5 fee. 

Security- Park gates are open 7am to 9pm. Camp hosts help to secure the camping areas. 

Disc Golf - Fort Buenaventura is home to a world-class, professional 18-hole Disc Golf course. This championship-level course is one of the best disc golf courses in the nation. The Fort Buenaventura course features lots of shade, challenging shots and dense vegetation. It was host to the 2021 PDGA Disc Golf World Championships. The course is open to the public for a fee $4 per player. Disc-tracted, a fully-stocked disc golf professional shop, is located at the Fort.

Dogs- are welcome in camp on leash (max. 6 feet) and in control of owners at all times. Owners must clean up after dogs. 

Mosquitos - May be an issue in the evenings.

Fires- Fires are allowed in stoves, grills, fireplaces or in fire rings provided for such purposes. Please watch your fire at all times and put out your fire thoroughly. Don't cut/gather wood in the park.

Water- There is potable water at the park. There are no water "hook-ups" for RV's.

Restrooms- Flushable toilets

Trash- Big bins on site

Hours/ Quiet Hours- Park gates are open 7am to 9pm. Quiet hours are 10:00pm-6:00am.
