Restaurants;

1- Casa coppelle, close to pantheon, a bit expensive but really good food

2- gigetto/ il pompiere, the zone is called ghetto and those are two restaurants with  typical Jewish/Roman food

3-Nojo, it is a sushi restaurant if you like it it's really good in my opinion

4-la nuova fiorentina, Italian food but it's not exactly in the center ( via brofferio, piazza Mazzini )

5-Ciampini bistrot, via fontanella borghese,also a bit expensive but they have really good pizza

6- il bar del fico, nice place and it's close to some bars where you can get a drink after

7- taverna trilussa, roman cucine 

8- taverna Lucifero, my favorite one! Truffle and cheese based dishes, close to campo de'fiori

9- cacio e pepe, open at lunch as well. Not a fancy place at all but best pasta ever!! Try this one! 

10-bir&fud, trastevere. Good pizza and a lot of different beers to try. Try the "calzone con mortadella e pistacchio".

11-da Michele, real pizza from napoli (best pizza in Rome) but there's always a lot of queue and they don't accept reservations 

12- Zero, piazza ungheria, try the noodles with wok and pulled pork 

13- Tiepolo, vegetarian 

14- Madeleine, pseudo-French restaurant with very good desserts 

15- I due Ladroni, piazza Nicosia

16-l'antico arco, at gianicolo

17-Zuma, great rooftop with wonderful view. Good for aperitivo with some sushi but very expensive 

18-Ai piani, Parioli fish restaurant

19-Roscioli, via dei giubbonari 21, nice enoteca where everything is so fresh! 

20-Pipero al Rex, via Torino 149,ristorante stellato great carbonara! 

- piano strada super!!! 

Gelaterie:

1-gelateria del teatro, via dei coronari. 

2-gelateria la romana, Really good ice cream! 

3- gelateria in via dei gracchi 

Aperitivo:

1- salotto 42, piazza Di pietra, which is my favorite place in Rome, although a bit fancy maybe! And the cocktails are really good.

2- settembrini, via settembrini. Not really in the center but good cocktails 

3-hausgarten, nice place in the prati area

4-fabbrica, mostly famous for teas and desserts but they also serve alcohol

5-freni e frizioni, in trastevere, crowded most of the times so it's a nice place to get to know people

6-Zuma, sushi restaurant with a rooftop terrace. Little bit expensive but worth it 

7-hotel de russie, the most beautiful garden in Rome but very expensive 

8-hotel Locarno, close by piazza del popolo

To go out for a drink there isn't really a place it's more like zones to go that are full of bars

- zona bar Della pace, next to piazza navona which he should really visit because it's such a beautiful square 

- trastevere, full of restaurants and bars in these tiny little streets! 

- campo dei Fiori, is another square full of pubs that are probably cheaper than the other two but it's usually full of kids ( 16 years old ) but still a nice place to have a walk and get a beer maybe!
