Club Meetings

The Gorge Photography Club meets each 2nd and 4th Monday, September - May excepting December. A banquet is held in December which includes a program and often, a display of members' prints. Another banquet is held at the end of the year, in June, where awards are presented to deserving members.

During the pandemic, all meetings are being held on-line with Zoom. Normal meetings are outlined below.

The bi-monthly meeting locations alternate between The Dalles and Hood River. The first meeting of the month is at Northern Wasco County PUD, 2345 River Road, The Dalles. The second is at the The Next Door, Inc building in Hood River. The address is 965 Tucker Road, just south of Brookside/Eliot Drive intersection. Please call one of the club officers to confirm the place for any particular meeting you plan to attend.

We meet at 6:30 for visiting and preparation. A short discussion of business begins at 7:00 if warranted, followed by a program of special interest to photographers. Critiques and/or judging of digital images and prints are scheduled for some meeting dates. Images include those with a groups of traditional, monochrome and altered reality each month.

Outside Speakers

Each year we schedule several regional professionals to present programs for our club.

Members Shows

All members are given the opportunity to present a program of their images at a club meeting. They are usually 5 minutes, though longer shows are accommodated when the show is the main program.
