Today, we will be looking at Standard SS3H1 The student will explain the political roots of our modern democracy in the United States of America. a. Identify the influence of Greek architecture (columns on the Parthenon and U. S. Supreme Court building), law, and the Olympic Games on the present. 

1. Login to your Google Document titled US vs. Greece and brainstorm with your team how you think the Greek culture influenced the United States of America. You are not limited to, but should produce five arguments stating how and why the US was influenced by Greece.

2. Open Google Earth and locate the Parthenon and the U.S. Supreme Court buildings and compare and contrast how they are alike and how they are different. Open Sketch-Up and create one drawing that shows something similar with the architecture. 

3. Research the history of the Olympic Games in Google and create a slideshow in Google Docs.

4. Read pages v and vi of The Heroes, Or, Greek Fairy Tales and create a family tree in Google Docs. 

5. Download and travel on the  The Odyssey Virtual Field Trip in Greece.
