1/1/19 - 8th grade band will play at a North HS basketball game on 1/15/19 in the evening in conjuncture with Harding MS 8th grade band and the NHS band. Look out for details coming soon!
12/5/18- Join us for out last concert of the semester tomorrow at 6:00pm. Students should arrive at 5:30. Concert dress for students black and white.
12/5/18- Calling all baritone players. Tuba Christmas is a fun event that takes place every year where low brass players come together to sight read Christmas carols. Ask Mr. Terrell or more details on how to sign up!
9/18/18- The 2018 Butter Braid fundraiser is underway. Orders are due on October 2nd. Product is delivered October 17th.
8/17/18- Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! As we begin our new adventure, please put all applicable concerts and events in you calendar.
8/17/18- School instrument rentals will begin in the second week of school.
5/15/18- Please join us for our end of the year concerts!
5/15/18- All school instruments are due back on May 25th, 2018.
12/19/16- All City with be on March 21st. Be looking for more info once participants are confirmed
1/9/17- Feb Thaw, a NHS pep band event, will be January 20th. All 8th band member should be in attendance!

9/21/15- Congratulation to Thomas Yang for winning the top prize in the Butter Braid fundraising competition! He and the rest of the band and orchestra students did a marvelous job fundraising for our program. Together they raised a total of $1830 that will go towards our kids' needs!
9/21/15- Interested strings students my participate in 'Chamber Strings' which will be playing the Star Spangled Banner at a Veterans Day event at Goodrell and also at the beginning of our home basketball games!
9/10/15- Last day for Jazz Band auditions is this coming Monday, September 14th. However if possible, I would like to have them done by the end of the day this Friday. I have a sign up sheet on my door. First day of Jazz Band rehearsal is Tuesday, September 15th at 6:45 in the morning. Jazz Band will meet on Tuesday and Thursday Mornings. It's looking like we will have a good group this year! Thanks to those who have already auditioned!
9/3/15- Today or tomorrow I will be sending out this year's inaugural newsletter. It contains some information regarding Jazz Band that may pertain to your child! Our first band concert is in 52 days and our first orchestra concert is in 58 days!
9/3/15- PS. Each student should have brought home an order form for our fundraiser. I hope everyone raises as much as they can for our program!
8/25/15- What a wonderful open house! It was great to meet many of you. The first day of school (tomorrow!) will be a busy one. In addition to handing out the handbook and the calendar of events for the year, we will work on assigning school instruments to those who need them. The fee for renting an instrument from the school is $25. All fees should be paid to the school office. Thank you again to those I met yesterday and I can't wait to meet the rest of you on Wednesday and Thursday!
06/25/15- On the first day of school the Goodrell Instrumental Music Handbook will be handed out to all participating students. Parents, please read and sign page 7. If your student is interested in borrowing an instrument from the school to use at home, they will also need to fill out page 8.
