- Brainstorming (write down your ideas)
- Group them together on the basis of what they refer to
- Put those topics in the order in which you would like them to appear in the sentence
- Summarise the topic in the so-called TOPIC SENTENCE and use your ideas as ARGUMENTS
- TOPIC SENTENCE (summary, category)
- argument 1 (1st idea)
- argument 2 (2nd idea)
- argument 3 (3rd idea)
- Write out the paragraph, linking the ideas with CONNECTORS (addition, contrast, etc.)
- Link the different paragraphs with CONNECTORS
- Make an engaging introduction advancing how you are going to deal with the subject (it useful to use pre-learned introductory phormulas) (look below)
- Write a conclusion with the general summary and a nice finishing sentence.

- It is widely known that.....
- According to the general belief....
- (Adj) as it may seem, it is....
- If there is one thing that.... it is the way (fact)
