Summary

Welcome to my homepage. It is still (very badly) under construction.

My name is Glen Wheeler and I am a Geometric Analyst. I am primarily interested in geometric evolution equations, such as surface diffusion flow, Helfrich flow, Willmore flow, and mean curvature flow. More broadly my interests include:

- Calculus of variations and the study of functionals of submanifolds (such as the area functional, Willmore functional, Helfrich functional, ...)
- Local and global differential geometry
- Higher order elliptic and parabolic partial differential equations on manifolds

I did contribute to What's Happening in Geometric Analysis?, when it was still operational (it is on hiatus since January 2017). Now, we maintain a geometric analysis page on Facebook: Geometric Analysis. Give us a follow!

Students. I am available to supervise masters and PhD students in any of the above fields. Send me an e-mail with your interests and CV if you are interested in this, and we can explore possible funding opportunities.

Feodor-Lynen Fellowship. I am a former holder of an Alexander-von-Humboldt Research Fellowship, and am thus able to host Feodor-Lynen Fellows (see here). If you are interested in this program, please contact me.
