2. PURCHASING OF LOT, LOT PRICING:
A. 16' X 16' Plot for $1,000. Family Plot, Room for 4 burials or 4 cremation urns.
B. 8' X 16' Lot is $500. Room for 2 burials or 2 cremation urns.
C. EXCEPTION: EAST CORNER OF SOUTH SIDE IS FOR SINGLE LOT SALES ONLY.
Lots are 4’ X 14’ for $250. and only 1 burial or 1 cremation urn allowed per lot.
3. GRAVE OPENING AND BURIAL PROCEDURE FOR FUNERAL DIRECTOR:
A. The Funeral Director will collect a grave maintenance fee of $100.00 to be paid to the
Glasgow Cemetery Association, C/O “TREASURE”.
B. The Funeral Director will contact Cemetery Representative, “SEXTON” for location of grave, to have grave
marked and whom to contact to open and close the grave. A burial vault must be used to house the casket.
A grave liner or concrete box will no longer be allowed. The Funeral Director will make arrangements for
opening and closing the grave after talking with Sexton.
C. The Funeral Director will collect grave opening fee and closing fee and pay Backhoe Operator for services,
the day of funeral.
D. Each grave shall have a permanent marker within 12 months of burial.
4. CREMATION ASHES AND PROCEDURE FOR FUNERAL DIRECTOR:
A. Maintenance fee of $100.00 per urn is to be paid to the Glasgow Cemetery, C/O “TREASURE”.
B. Cemetery Representative “SEXTON”, will be contacted to mark location of the burial and whom to
contact to open and close the grave. The Funeral Director will make arrangements for opening
and closing the grave.
C. Ashes should be buried in an urn vault, to be provided by the Funeral Director.
D. Opening and closing arrangements of the burial is the responsibility of the Funeral Director.
E. Container should be covered with a minimum of three (3) feet of soil, the Funeral Director will collect for
opening and closing fee and pay Backhoe Operator for services, the day of funeral.
F. Only one (1) urn will be allowed on a 4’ x 16’ space.
5. ADDITIONAL FEES OR COSTS FOR FUNERAL DIRECTOR:
A. Other fees or costs of the cemetery may be charged, said charges may vary due to availability
and fuel charges:
Ground thawing for heavy frost or excessive snow or ice.
6. STONE SETTING AND PROCEDURE:
A. All Monument retailers and any other business/person placing or replacing stones/foundation will notify
The Glasgow Cemetery “SEXTON” for the proper placement of headstone. The Seller of the stone
will collect a layout and inspection of Foundation opening fee of $25.00 to be paid to the Glasgow
Cemetery Association, C/O “TREASURE”. No stone will be placed or replaced without such notification.
If you ignore this request/procedure and place a headstone or marker, we have the right to request
the removal of the headstone and/or marker including the cement foundation at your expense.
B. Cemetery Representative, “SEXTON” will be contacted to mark location of the stone foundation and
inspect depth.
C. The concrete foundation (5 ½ bag mix) must have straight sides, flat bottom, with no filler added and
one pour.
D. The foundation shall be 3 to 4 inches larger than the bottom stone on all sides.
E. A one-piece stone requires a 36 inch deep foundation.
F. A two-piece stone requires a 40 inch deep foundation.
G. Any stone taller in 40 inches in height, must have a foundation in equal depth and or a
(3:1 ratio) footer below 48 inches.
