I am an associate professor of economics at Tohoku University in Japan. My primary area of research is macroeconomic approaches on, labor, family, and health issues, including the childcare market, female labor supply, COVID-19 epidemic models, and time use in sleep.

I am also studying money, banking, and finance, such as the search theory of money and big data in personal finance.
