Chinese International School participated in the 10th ESRI Asia Pacific User Conference here in Hong Kong. Four students, Freddie & Jess, Year 6 and Ailene and Matthew, Year 11 students presented on the main stage during the Plenary Session. The four students showcased their work using Story Maps: Jess and Freddie talked about their Silk Road Journey Story Maps and how they collaborated with Year 11's; Ailene and Matthew shared their experiences creating and leading Free Walking Tours, also using Story Maps. All four students were awesome with their joint presentation, confidently sharing their stories to an audience of 400+ GIS professionals, who listened and laughed to their tales.
In addition to the student presentation, Mr. Brian presented a work shop paper on: Understanding neighbourhood change through mapping - focusing on the work of Year 10 Geographers investigating Tai Hang to a small audience of GIS professionals.
