Field Trip #3: Google, Cambridge, February 24

Our third field trip of the year will be to Google, Inc in Cambridge on Friday, February 24th, 2017 from 1:00P-3:00P. Google’s Cambridge office spans 5 buildings and employs over 1200 engineers, analysts, marketers, and salespeople.

During our visit, we’ll attend a technical talk, participate in a Q&A panel with additional Googlers, and take a tour of the facilities. Here's the schedule:

All Newton GWC students are invited to attend, both the Tuesday and Friday sections. Be sure to wear your Girls Who Code T-shirt.

The visit will take place at the Google Campus, 355 Main Street, Cambridge, MA 02142. There will be a welcome table on the ground floor Google lobby with pre-printed visitor badges. From there, Google staff will direct students to the main reception area on the 5th floor, and from there to our event room.

Parents are responsible for getting coders to and from the venue. We encourage you to coordinate carpooling using our mailing list: parents2016@newtongwc.org. The office is right by the Kendall T station on the Red Line. There is metered street parking and also three nearby (pricey) parking garages:
