I am an Assistant Professor at The Faculty of Economics and Business at University of Groningen. Previously, I have joined the Center for Economic History at Northwestern University, the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Università Bocconi and the Cowles Foundation for Research in Economics at Yale University.
My main research fields are Political Economics and Economic History. I am also interested in Applied Microeconomics.
-My article "State Formation, Social Unrest and Cultural Distance" (joint with L.Ogliari and T.Orlando) has been published on the Journal of Economic Growth. [Link]
-I have been appointed in the local Organizing Committee of the European Historical Economics Society Conference (17 & 18 June 2022) hosted by the University of Groningen.
-I have been appointed as Research Affiliate at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) in the Programme of Economic History and the Programme of Political Economy.
-I have been appointed as Research Fellow at the Political Economics and Reforms, Institutional Complexity, and Legislative Evaluation Studies (PERICLES) research unit at Bocconi University.
