I am a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Economics at The University of Sheffield (TUoS). I am also a Research Fellow of the Sheffield Political Economy Research Institute (SPERI).

I graduated from the University of Cyprus in 2003, obtained an MSc from University College London in 2005, and completed my PhD at Birkbeck University of London in 2010.  Before joining TUoS in 2012, I held research and teaching positions at the University of Birmingham and Birkbeck University of London.

My main research area is political economy, with specific interests in elections, public opinion, political behaviour, migration, and terrorism. I also explore topics in international business and banking.

From June 2021 to November 2023, I was co-investigator on the ESRC-funded project "The effect of terrorism on public attitudes and individual well-being in Great Britain".
