Fall 2012 Projects

The GG Board has identified several Building and Grounds projects and other initiatives that should be accomplished by the end of the year

To facilitate the completion of these projects and to offer more members the opportunity and flexibility to fulfill their work requirement the board has developed a list of tasks for teams to complete.

Note: Sign up sheets are available at the clubhouse. You may also sign up via e-mail by sending your name and contact info to georgetownfng@gmail.com

Following conditions are important and must be met regarding completion of projects.

· Clubhouse projects need to be completed before adverse weather conditions set in, i.e. temperatures too low for staining exterior of building.

· Review committees recommendations need to be submitted to the board no later than December 10th

Sign up sheets have been created that include a description of the project and a basic breakdown of tasks or requirements. We would hope to enlist a sufficient number of volunteers to not put an undue burden on those who sign up. The sign up sheets have a section for individuals to volunteer for team leaders.

Team leaders will be determine manpower, material, and equipment requirements and coordinate and schedule work. GFG Board will approve team leader assignments.

Project teams have the responsibility to schedule and complete project on their own.

Understanding that the work requirement is four hours per member, we recommend that assignments be distributed fairly with people assigned to ‘shifts’ or work otherwise broken down in to manageable chunks.

Materials lists and procurements will be reviewed and approved by the board or board designee prior to purchasing. Team leader will be responsible for arrangement of pick up or delivery of materials as required. GFG Board will be available for advice and Treasurer will coordinate and handle any special payment or reimbursement requirements if required.

Projects may start when team leader is chosen and a viable number of members sign on to the project.
