About me: 

I am a Research Scientist with experience in Computer Vision and Machine Learning from academia and industry. My focus over the last six years has been on solutions for Augmented Reality and Robotics.

Since November 2019, I have been working for Snap in Vienna (Austria). I currently have a Principal Research Engineer/Scientist and TLM role. Prior to that, I was a Sr. Scientist of Daqri (Dublin, Sunnyvale, Vienna) from January 2016. I received my Phd degree from the University of Patras (Greece) in 2008. Then, I joined  the Machine Learning (f.k.a. Multimedia Pattern Recognition) group at Fraunhofer IAIS (Germany) as a post-doc researcher (ERCIM Fellow) in 2009 and the Perception Team at INRIA Grenoble (France) as a Research Scientist in 2012. My expertise includes SLAM and Odometry, 3D Reconstruction, Machine Learning.  My research work has been published in top computer vision journals and conferences (PAMI, IJCV, ECCV, ICCV …). In 2019, I got an Engineering Leadership Certificate from Cornell University (US).
