Geong Sen is co-founder and advisor of Synvo AI. He is also a Principal Research Scientist at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He was a Senior Assistant Director at S-Lab for Advanced Intelligence, NTU, specialising in research management. He provides strategic leadership and supports a dynamic research team in artificial intelligence.

Before joining NTU, he was a member and leading projects as a principal investigator under the NUS-Singtel Cyber Security R & D Lab, National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore. He was also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the School of Computing, NUS, specialising in data privacy.

Prior to his transition to Singapore, Geong Sen was with MIMOS Berhad in Malaysia.

Geong Sen holds a PhD in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and a member of ACM. He also holds the CISSP certification.

Research focus: Security and Privacy, with interests in searchable encryption, private record linkage, applications of privacy-preserving techniques for machine learning, and cybersecurity risk assessment.
