Gen. E. Aguinaldo Cavite Centennial Celebration

DECLARING OCTOBER 28 – 31, 2015 AS SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAY FOR THE MUNICIPALITY OF GEN. E. AGUINALDO, CAVITE, REQUIRING ALL EMPLOYEES OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT, BARANGAY OFFICIALS, VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATIONS, RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS AND PRIVATE INSTITUTIONs IN THIS MUNICIPALITY TO PARTICIPATE AND COOPERATE IN ALL ACTIVITIES OF THE 2015 CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION.

WHEREAS, Art. 87 (B.1) of the Local Government Code of 1991 empower the Local Chief Executive to exercise general supervision and control on the over-all programs, projects, services and activity of the municipality.

WHEREAS, The Philippine Commission approved Act No. 947 on October 15, 1903, annexing the municipalities of Bailen and Mendez to Alfonso, thus becoming barrios of Alfonso; and in 1915, reconverted Bailen into independent municipality;

WHEREAS, on June 19, 1965 with the signing of Republic Act no. 4346, the town's name, Bailen, was changed to General Emilio Aguinaldo, in honor of the first Philippine president;

WHEREAS, the 100^TH year founding anniversary falls on this year, culminating the a centennial celebration for the whole municipality;

WHEREAS, the Centennial Celebration is to start on October 28, 2015 where the participation of the whole populace of the municipality is encourage especially employees of government & private institutions;

WHEREAS, to give free and convenient time to all employees and barangay officials to participate in the Centennial Celebration;

NOW THEREFORE, I DANILO M. BENCITO, Municipal Mayor of the Municipality of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite by virtue of the power vested in me by law do hereby order all local government officials and employees, barangay officials and volunteers, non-government organizations, religious institutions and private institutions to promote and encourage participation in the celebration of 100^th year founding anniversary dubbed as “2015 Municipality of Gen. E. Aguinaldo, Cavite Centennial Celebration” and thereby declaring October 28 – 31, 2015 to be Special Working Holiday and order the following:

Section I. Creation of 2015 Municipality of Gen. E. Aguinaldo, Cavite Centennial Celebration Committee to plan, organize and execute all activities of this event.

Section II. Requesting head of schools, to allow and encourage their pupils, students, teaching and non-teaching staff, to participate in the celebration of the 100^th year foundation activities of our Municipality, provided that skeletal force should be designated to attend to the usual transaction of their respective offices.

Section III. That copy of this Executive Order shall be furnished to all concerned for their information and implementation.
