Hangout on Air

Learners who are keen to contribute to the NZ Student Summit programme and are located outside of Auckland are invited to pitch their presentation, to be shared via a Google Hangout on Air on the day of the NZ Student Summit. What's a Hangout on Air? The GEGNZ Community has been hosting regular Hangouts on Air enabling us to schedule broadcasts and go live on Google+, YouTube, and our website. Broadcasts are recorded and automatically saved to our YouTube channel.

This has enabled us to host interactive conversations with educators around New Zealand, take questions in advance from the community and answer the most popular ones live. Take a look at our past Hangouts

"We are new to Google Hangouts!"

No problem... if your pitch is accepted for the NZ Student Summit we will partner you with a GEGNZ Community Leader who will support you and your teachers with the set up and the broadcast on the day of the summit.

"We would like to share how we use Google Docs, Sheets and Calendar to manage our own learning and record evidence of what we are working on independently. We would also like to show how we use these GAFE to set goals and reflect upon our learning" (Alexandra Primary School)
