GEG NZ Invercargill / Southland Meetup
This was a face to face social get together for educators in an unconference style. Rob Clarke joined us in a Hangout and shared the benefits of Classroom and using GAFE with Hapara. Teachers then shared in 'smackdown' style what they were doing with GAFE and their learners.

GEG NZ Student Summit: Alexandra Primary School
We would like to share how we use Google Docs, Sheets and Calendar to manage our own learning and record evidence of what we are working on independently. We would also like to show how we use these GAFE to set goals and reflect upon our learning.

The Ministry of Education’s science, technology, maths, and literacy series is now available on Google Slides. Most of the quality content including images, text, videos, audio, and graphic elements for Connected+ are available for teachers and students to download and reuse for educational purposes.
Find out how you and your students can mix, mash, and share the digital versions of Connected+ articles and additional digital content to support teaching and learning.

Rob Clarke, Fiona Grant and Justine Driver present as part of the GAFE Summit South a Hangout on Air to help community members learn to connect to the community, and to launch our inaugural NZ Student Summit. This is our second face to face event with a virtual component.

JJ Purton-Jones, Kim Baars, Bridget McKendry and her students, Liz Fairhall and her class will share their ideas and experiences about Maker Culture. This event is part of a Maker Culture Professional Development Day being held in Central Otago and is also the first time we've involved students directly in the spotlight. We also have a special announcement for the GEGNZ community as part of this event.
