The Dane Connection

Established in 1994, Dane Connection is a non-profit organization of caring volunteers dedicated to finding permanent homes for unwanted or abandoned purebred Great Danes in the greater Pittsburgh area.

We strive to place Danes with owners who will provide loving and healthy homes. We also provide guidance on care and training for all placed Danes. We operate in the greater Pittsburgh area but will travel as far as Johnstown, PA to the east, Youngstown, Ohio to the west, Morgantown, WV to the south and Erie, PA to the north.

All prospective owners must complete an adoption application and a satisfactory home inspection. We seek loving and safe homes. If it is in the best interest of the dog, an application can be denied. See Adoption Process for more information.
