A Verification Certificate by Dr. Sanjay Agarwal, Commissioner, Central Excise, Delhi
My great-great-grandfather, Shri Banshidhar Santhalia, purchased 70 acres of land commonly known as Neel kotti (Indigo Farming) or gangaldeh kotti (in the vicinity of Vikramshilla University on 14th July 1923, before independence) from a Britisher and paid Rs. 20000 and Rs. 500 in tax at Colgong, which is now named as Kahalgaon (in the name of Kahal Rishi). The receipt and original document of registry (attached below) are safely preserved as the land is transferred from generation to generation. This proves the indian citizenship without any traditional legal documents.
My Great Great Grandfather Shri Banshidhar Santhalia purchased (purchase receipt attached above) a kotti named Gandaldeh kotti in the vicinity of the ancient Vikarmshilla University site (nearly 1-2 km). The registered deed is an original deed which was executed on 31st July 1923 by Britishers Harry Alexander and Francis Buller Robinson. The plot was used for indigo manufacturing during British rule. I am the 6th ,generation and to date (2026) the title of the land belongs to Gaurav Santhalia & Family. This land was considered as Kashmir ka tukda by our Late Great Gandfather Mahadev Lal Santhalia.
