I've been a teacher since 2007, and I'm currently a Junior High Teacher at Crescent Collegiate, in the Newfoundland and Labrador English School Board. I have taught previously at Holy Spirit High School, Prince of Wales Collegiate, and Amos Comenius Memorial School in Hopedale, as well as doing my internship at St. Peter's Junior High. I hold an M.Ed (Science Teaching, Learning and Curriculum Studies), a B.Ed (Intermediate/Secondary) and a B.Sc (Geography/Earth Sciences) from Memorial University. My teachable areas are in Science and Social Studies, and I've spent most of my career teaching World Geography 3202, and Earth Systems 3209. I have also taught all Sciences, Social Studies, Math, English and Art at the Junior High and High School Level. My interests include: sports (any type), cooking, urban and landscape geography, Newfoundland geology and history, home improvement, architecture and design. Specifically in education: I focus on technology, with use of mobile and ubiquitous learning techniques to differentiate my instruction and try to reach the varying learning styles of my classroom.
