Be One of the Mighty-Fine Forty-Nine

• The Optimist International Junior Golf Championship is one of the largest and best-known junior golf tournaments in the world. Each year, more than 600 golfers participate in THE OPTIMIST. Optimists have been involved in the sport of junior golf for more than 30 years by holding local, regional and international tournaments.

• The GATEway District is made up of all of Georgia and most of Tennessee. Each year the district hosts a tournament for boys and girls ages 10-18. The qualifying winners go on to compete in the 6 day event known as THE OPTIMIST in Miami, FL.

• Our district helps our junior golfers attend this prestigious event against the best golfers in the world. Without our financial assistance, many of our golfers would not be able to participate.

• The cost for a golfer and one parent to attend THE OPTIMIST is $1950. Our district contributes $700 for each of our 7  first place winners.

• We need your help to sponsor our kids. Would you be one of our Mighty Fine Forty-Nine to contribute $100 or more to help sponsor our golfers? 

• This can be a once in a lifetime experience for these kids.
