Eric Franke enjoys living, teaching and painting in San Antonio, Texas. Presently, he is teaching beginning art classes at Warren High School and as a Dual Credit Adjunct through Northwest Vista College. The artist has enjoyed teaching art in San Antonio for the past thirty years. On weekends and during vacations, the artist can often be found drawing or painting around San Antonio. Eric completed a commission for the Drury Plaza Hotel lobby in 2007, and sold prints for use in 360 suites and 14 conference rooms. In 2002 Eric painted the official NIOSA poster for the San Antonio Conservation Society. In 2008 Eric and his wife donated an original masterwork to the NCO Club at Randolph AFB to honor the servicemen and women, the painting was then documented as an official asset of the Air Force in the Library of Congress. Many of the artist's prints were used by the San Antonio Convention and Visitors Bureau to promote San Antonio Prior to The Toyota plant opening it's production line in San Antonio. Eric has also donated use of his images to the San Antonio River Foundation to promote the Museum Reach, and Mission Reach of the San Antonio River. He has done work for Robert Talbott as a gift to welcome the La Cantera Nordstroms to San Antonio. It is Eric's hope that each piece has special significance to the collector and that his paintings encourage others to enjoy the history and beauty of this enchanting city.
