Quester Tour of the Grant Home. Meet at the Grant Home at the time you signed up for. Touring the Grant Home will be a good model for how we will be conducting Washburne Tours when we start up again. Following your tour proceed to the Pavilion at Grant Park to enjoy socializing, a BYO lunch, and a business meeting.

Laura Ingalls Wilder Historic Sites. Presented by Tessa Flak, new Executive Director of the Galena - JoDaviess Historical Society. Prior to coming to Galena, Tessa was the Director of the Wilder sites in DeSmet, SD, the setting for the final five books in the Little House series.

Old Fair Grounds. 12:00 noon at Galena's Rec Park. Presented by Colleen Yonda. Enjoy a picnic lunch in one of the Rec Park Pavilions while learning about the many uses and historic events that occurred on these very grounds. Sign up and pay in advance for picnic lunch to be purchased from one of Galena's fine restaurants.

Treasured Family Heirlooms, Moderated by Sue Lentini. Please bring a small family treasure(or a picture if a large item) and plan to tell its story. The meeting will also be our annual "NO Bake Bake Sale." Please bring your $25.00 contribution. This is our primary means to bolster our treasury so we have the funds available for matching grants.

Victorian Language of Flowers. Presented by Vicki Barclay. Dating back to Victorian times, the language of flowers was used as a means of coded communication through various flowers and floral arrangements, allowing people to express feelings that otherwise could not be spoken.

Ghosts of Galena. Presented by Ted Williams. "True" stories of the hauntings of many of Galena's historic buildings and places. Perhaps you have a ghost story to share?! Hmmm?

The Buildings of Galena, 1858. Presented by Kris Chapman. Kris will describe the process she used to research the history of many of the buildings in downtown Galena to recreate an accurate scale model of Galena for the Museum's Port of Galena 1858 exhibit.

Christmas Luncheon and 25th Anniversary Celebration of the Galena Belles. Doors Open at 11:30 a.m., Lunch at 12 Noon at the DeSoto House Ballroom. The Galena Belles celebrate 25 years of service! Enjoy a luncheon and an entertaining presentation on our chapter history, including photos, programs, events, and projects we've funded through the years. Featuring reminiscences of some of our "founding mothers."
