Yong Ju Jung (정용주) received the Ph.D. degree from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Korea, in 2005 under the supervision of Prof. Yong Man Ro, where he was a member of Image Video Systems (IVY) Laboratory.
Since 2016, he has been an Associate Professor with the School of Computing (인공지능학과) at Gachon University, Seongnam, South Korea.
From 2014 to 2015, he was a Principal Engineer (수석연구원) with SystemLSI division in Samsung Electronics, contributing to the development of the world-first dual-camera solutions for smartphone cameras.
From 2010 to 2014, he was a Research Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, KAIST.
From 2005 to 2010, he was a Principal Research Scientist (전문연구원) with Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT; 삼성종합기술원), contributing to 3D display processing for 3D TV.
From 2000 to 2002, he was a co-founder and R&D team leader of IVSystem Inc., South Korea.
From 1999 to 2005, Research Assistant, IVY Lab, KAIST, Daejeon, South Korea.
His current research interests include image/video processing, computational photograph & imaging, human depth perception, and computer vision.
He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology (TCSVT).
He is a member of IEEE, OSA, and IS&T.
He has co-organized special sessions on human 3D perception and 3D video assessments in DSP2011.
