Experience. When an opponent is defeated, it will give up EXP. At the end of battle, EXP is distributed to surviving party members. A bonus of 20% extra EXP is awarded to the unit that dealt the most damage in battle.
LOVE
Affection increases by giving gifts to a character. Each character has individualized preferences. Their favorite item will give them 10 affection, their second favorite will give 3, and any other gift will give 1. Characters may learn new skills as their affection increases, and some characters may return a favor when they reach maximum affection.
Each unit and each skill has its own elemental type.
If a unit's element is weak to a skill's element, then damage will be amplified. Conversely, if a unit's element is resistant to a skill's element, then damage will be reduced.
