Electrochemical hydrogen pumps were evaluated as a H2/CO2 separation technology.
Phosphoric acid doped polybenzimidazole (PBI) membranes were utilized.
The effect of Pt loading amount was evaluated with the H2/CO2 mixture feed.
The hydrogen oxidation reaction at anodes was found to be the rate determining step.
Overpotentials were analyzed by electrochemical impedance analysis.
