Tree Sales starts on Friday November 25th. All weekly Wednesday meeting are cancelled until early January.
Troop News
It's that time of year again for Troop 52 to shut down our weekly meetings and sell the wonderful community of Front Royal and surrounding areas Christmas Trees. This year we will have a selection of Frasier and Douglas Firs from Southern Virginia along with Spruce trees which we grow and harvest from Dr. Zunka's farm. Please stop on by and let our scouts help you choose the perfect tree for you and your family! We will be setup in front of Rural King at the Royal Plaza shopping center and our first day of sales will be Friday November 25th. We will be there until we sell out.
11/23/2022 - Sadly, that last update wasn't the start of many.
Sorry for the lack of updates but we have been busy this year. We've had two scouts obtain their ranks of Eagle Scout and many more advance in ranks. We've had many campouts this year along with additional 1 day events. We try to keep as busy as possible so things like updating a website sometimes drop to the wayside.
In January, Greg Hubley stepped down as Scoutmaster and Mike Pugh has taken the reigns. We thank Greg for his support and leadership over the last few years.

Summer Camp 2022!
So for 2022, we attended Camp Rock Enon for our summer camp. Almost all scouts attended camp with us this year and boy was it a great time. We were the 2nd group to get the spirit stick so we decided to do something different from where this thing was obviously going (yes, we did the axe head). We had several rank advancements take place at camp and many merit badges were earned. We also had four people inducted into the Order of the Arrow. Thanks to the leaders and the scouts for a great week at camp!
Gettysburg Campout 2022!
Dr. Zunka hosted a 4 day campout at Gettysburg this year. The scouts were able to do a Town Historic hike, hikes of both the Billy Yank and Johnny Reb Trails, along with a visit to the Eisenhower House and the Gettysburg Visitor Center and National Cemetery. We even snuck in a day trip to Hershey Park while were up there. The scouts all earned the Gettysburg Scout Patch. It was a wonderful trip and we can't thank Dr. Zunka enough for hosting it for us!
6/16/2021 - First update of many. We've been busy over the last few years. Several of the excursions we've had include a Kayak/Canoe trip to Lake Moomaw, Day hike to 7 Pools, several camping trips to Dr. Zunkas farm, Nokesville Tank Farm, Summer Camp 2019 at Camp Rock Enon, a make our own summer camp 2020 trip to WV, a Tree House campout / 11 mile hike along with many other hikes and trips.
Congratulations to two of our scouts who have earned their Eagle Rank during this time. Roan Suderman and Madison Lenz.
