Animals that make their home in and around Glen Canyon Park come in all shapes and sizes, including great horned owls, coyotes, garter snakes and red-tailed hawks. Glen Park News contributors have documented coyote sightings around the park, who generally keep to themselves and prefer to remain undisturbed in their natural habitat. Owls build their nests in trees near Islais Creek, raising their young in the spring.
