The Beginning: Friendship is one of the older historic churches in Upstate South Carolina, drawing its roots as early at 1849 when Friendship hosted a quarterly conference for the methodist churches of the area. In 1865 land was deeded to the church in it's current location. A log sanctuary was constructed on the spot, which later replaced by the current sanctuary and fellowship hall. The congregation of Friendship remains faithful in preserving its heritage for future generations.
Our Mission: Friendship United Methodist Church exists for the worship of God, and for the making of disciples of Jesus Christ so that the world might be transformed. For more about what we believe as United Methodists, see UMC - What We Believe
