Way to go Anisha Maheshwari ('13 student)! Anisha is heading to the University of Toledo's College of Medicine in the fall of 2016 (after finishing her last year at UT). We're so proud of you!

Vincent Huynh ('12 student & '13-'15 mentor), Nan Hallock (UT alum and Director of Publishing at Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening, SLAS), and Armin Nourani ('13 student & '14 mentor) met up at the 2015 SLAS Conference in Washington, D.C. Hook 'em!

And, Armin filled in a gap in the presenter schedule; here's what was said about his selection:

"Armin Nourani, a junior at the University of Texas, Austin will be filling a gap in our podium program (translational science/biomarkers session) by speaking on his Tony B. awardee poster topic 'Implementation of Nucleic Acid Circuitry in Detection of Melanoma Gene Biomarkers'"

It’s very unusual for an undergraduate to appear in our podium program (or poster program for that matter). He has the approval and blessing of his graduate advisor, Dr. Andrew Ellington and his post-doc mentor Dr. Sanchita Bhadra. They feel he will do a great job.

Congratulations again Vincent Huynh ('12 student & '13-'15 mentor)! Vincent received the Tony B. Academic Travel Award, which will provide airfare, hotel, and full conference registration for him to attend the SLAS2015 (Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening) conference Feb. 8-11, 2015 in Washington, DC. Way to go, Vincent!

Congratulations Vincent Huynh ('12 student & '13-'15 mentor) on receiving the Semiconductor Research Corporation Undergraduate Research Opportunities (SRC URO) fellowship (Fall '14 - Spring '15)! You're a rock star researcher!
