Short bio
Frago Kourandi is an Associate Professor of Microeconomics at the Department of Economics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). She graduated (2003), holds an M.Sc. (2005) and a Ph.D. (2010) in Economics form the Athens University of Economics and Business. She was a postdoctoral researcher at the Telecom ParisTech, as well as a researcher at various research projects at the Athens University of Economics and Business and other organizations.
Frago Kourandi has teaching experience at both undergraduate and graduate levels at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), the Athens University of Economics and Business, Sciences Po (Paris), the University of Ioannina, and the University of Macedonia. She has also served as an economist at the Market & Competition Monitoring Unit of the Greek Regulatory Authority for Energy, Waste & Water. She is a member of the Coordinating Committee of the Postgraduate Programs “Internal Audit, Risk Management & Compliance”, Department of Economics at NKUA (2019 - ) and “Business Administration, Analytics and Information Systems”, Department of Economics at NKUA (2023 - ). She is a member of the scientific committee for the Research Seminar Series at the Department of Economics at NKUA (2019 - ), a member of the scientific committee of the Joint Econ Research Seminar Series (JERS) and a member of the committee for the Hellenic Economics Contest for Students that prepares students for the International Economics Olympiad.
She has publications at international journals, such as Economic Theory, Journal of Industrial Economics, Information Systems Research, Games, and has participated and presented her work at several international conferences and workshops. She is referee at international journals and part of the scientific book editing team of books in Microeconomics. Her research and teaching interests are: Industrial Organization, Microeconomic Theory, Regulation and Competition Policy, Game Theory, Network Economics.
