The American Legion Blood Donor Program
Fort Humboldt Post No. 212 participates in the national program by routinely donating blood products through the Northern California Community Blood Bank. Our post has a local area only group account with the N.C.C.B.B. which helps us record our quantity of donations and provides a slight discount if a member received red cell transfusion(s). Our posts group code is: ALEG if you wish to designate your N.C.C.B.B. donation credit to our post account.
Memorial Day Flags Program
Fort Humboldt Post No. 212 continues to have the honorable duty of annually placing over 3000 flags at Ocean View Cemetery and Sunset Memorial Park in Eureka, CA. We continue to thankfully acknowledge the assistance of the dedicated volunteers who show-up, year after year, allowing this process timely accomplishment. All are welcome to assist. Flag placement starts at 8 AM on Saturday of Memorial Weekend. Flag retrieval is at 3 PM Memorial Day Monday.
Holiday Morale Program
Fort Humboldt Post No. 212 annually carries out our part, during the Winter holiday season, while participating in the Holiday Morale Program of the Humboldt County Council of American Legion Posts. Our post has the county program jurisdictional area of Eureka, CA and we make considerable effort to bring some comradeship, "goodies" , and cheer when we visit our veterans who are limited to home and/or care facilities.
Northcoast Stand Down
