Forget-Me-Not Dementia Support Group

    Welcome to the Forget-Me-Not
    Dementia Support Group

The Forget-Me-Not Dementia support group has been set up to provide free advice

and support to anyone affected by dementia. We hold a meeting every
month and welcome anyone suffering with memory problems, carers, family and friends. We are based at the Trinity Centre Point in Kirkby In Ashfield and our meetings are varied each month but we always offer a warm welcome, a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and experienced volunteers who can offer support and advice. Please feel free to come along to any of our meetings.

Our next meetings will be on:

     MONDAY 20th January 2020              TUESDAY 7th January 2020

Kind Supporters
Mansfield and District Soroptimists
Our grateful thanks to the ladies of the Mansfield and District branch of the Soroptimist International for their ongoing support and their tea and coffee service at our meetings. This help is invaluable and appreciated by all the members and volunteers.

£1700 Raised By 'Around the grounds' Blogger Rob Hornby
A great big thank you goes out to Rob and his wife Hazel for organising and coordinating the amazing fundraising which they have done for us throughout the 2018/19 senior league football season. They have inspired numerous football clubs and individuals to donate to our support group, a list of which can be found on the Around The Grounds blog. A huge thank you to everyone who donated to our support group. All the money raised goes into helping and supporting our members. Thank you very much Rob.

£250 Raised By Kieron Garside
Kieron ran the grueling London Marathon which is almost 26 and a 1/4 miles long and managed to raise £250 for our support group.  We know that running a marathon requires many months of preparation, training and phenomenal levels of self-discipline so a big well done and a very big thank you goes to Kieron.

Talitha Williamson
Talitha has raised an amazing £512 for the group by doing a parachute jump on the 21st October. She was scheduled to make the jump two dates earlier but these were canceled because of bad weather. Holding her nerve she was able to make the jump on the third date. Well done Talitha and a huge thanks from the group.

Thank you to the both of you and to all our donors no matter the size of the donation. Together you are all making a big difference.
The support group relies entirely on donations for all its work and maximises the
money we raise as all our team are volunteers giving their time, expertise and
     organising skills for free.

If you are able to make a donation please click the Donate button below which will
take you to our Local Giving page and follow the instructions. We really appreciate
every donation, no matter how small because all the small donations add up together to
be a big donation. Imagine if 'everyone' didn't donate because they thought that
'my donation is too small to make a difference'?

                           Thank you.

          How we spend your donations
Last year we were able to provide entertainment,
outings, a Christmas party, arrange for speakers to visit and
provide a warm and cosy place for the group to meet and give
useful advice, support and information by our experienced
          group of volunteers.
