As we prepare for the upcoming 2026 swim season, we are excited to kick off another great summer of competition and community.
đź”” Important Change to Volunteer Process
Please note that this year’s volunteer process is different from prior seasons. Rather than signing up to volunteer in Sign-Up Genius, families will now be able to sign-up directly through TeamSnap.  Any assignments that remain OPEN at the beginning of each week will be assigned to families that have not yet selected the reequired slots for the season, which will ensure all positions are filled fairly and consistently. Please mark your “unavailability” in TeamSnap for meets that you will not be attending. This change allows us to distribute responsibilities more equitably across all families and ensure that every meet is fully staffed without last-minute gaps. Plus, it will give more families the pool deck access for a great view of their swimmer! Â
🏊 Volunteer Commitment
Each family will be required to fulfill two (2) volunteer assignments during the eight meet regular season. These assignments may take place during any of our 3 home meets and 5 away meets, beginning in June. This structured approach helps ensure all roles are covered and allows our meets to run smoothly for our swimmers.
Volunteer assignments will be distributed and tracked in TeamSnap
Home meets require 35 volunteers.
Away meets require 6 volunteers.
👉 If you have a questions, please message Geoff or Lisa Gehring directly via TeamSnap, and we will do our best to assist.
⚠️ Trained Volunteer Positions
Some roles require prior experience or training, including:
Meet leadership and officiating (Deck Captain, Referee, Starter, Stroke & Turn Judges)
Key operations roles (Lead Timer, Announcer, Scorekeeper, Ribbon Coordinator, Runner)
If you are already trained—or interested in becoming trained—please reach out to Geoff or Lisa Gehring via TeamSnap to ensure that you are comfortable with all of the expectations. These positions are essential to running successful meets.

âś… Next Steps
Review and sign-up for roles in TeamSnap. Your sign-up will be under your swimmer’s name (not the adult).Â
Please mark your family’s availability ahead of time for known vacations.Â
We are grateful for the time and support you provide to the Forest Hills Swim Team. Your involvement helps create a positive and successful experience for all of our swimmers. If you have any questions about volunteer roles or requirements, please feel free to reach out. Â
Please also keep your calendar clear for Friday July 24th and Saturday July 25th for the annual Championships that is hosted at our pool each year. More to come on that important event, once the season is underway! Thank you, and we look forward to a fantastic 2026 season.
